Colin Briskey is an innovative, evidence-based voice teacher who collaborates with students to craft a singing technique that is flexible, authentic, and empowering. Based in Cleveland, Colin is an Assistant Professor of Voice at Baldwin Wallace Conservatory. He has also taught voice for the Musical Theatre Dance Intensive (MTDI) and Vocal Choral Intensive (VCI) at Boston Conservatory at Berklee and served on the Music, Theatre, and Dance faculty at Plymouth State University in Plymouth, NH. Colin has a Bachelor of Music in Music Theatre from Oklahoma City University and an MFA in Musical Theatre Vocal Pedagogy from Boston Conservatory at Berklee, where they were part of the inaugural class in that degree program.

Previously Colin served as a board member and Vice President of Student Auditions for the Tahoma Chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS). And he is about to serve as Professional Development Director at the New York Singing Teachers Association (NYSTA).

Starting in 2016 Colin was an active performer in the Seattle regional theatre scene. Favorite performances include: Princess Ida (Prince Hilarion) with The Seattle Gilbert and Sullivan Society, The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940 (Roger Hopewell) with Centerstage Theater, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamboat (Ruben) with Seattle Musical Theatre, The Who’s Tommy (Cousin Kevin) and Patience (Archibald Grosvenor) with The Seattle Gilbert & Sullivan Society, as well as Newsies (Davey), My Fair Lady (Freddy), and The Little Mermaid (Prince Eric) at Tacoma Musical Playhouse, and Godspell (Jesus) at the Kahilu Theatre on Hawaii’s Big Island.
